What are three types of scales used for measuring weight?
In hospitals and long-term care, the three most common are standing scales (platform, column or physician scales), wheelchair scales with ramps, and pediatric scales for newborns and toddlers. Height-and-weight stations add a height rod to a standing scale.
What is the best weighing machine for a hospital?
There is no single best model: it depends on your patients. Units with patients who cannot stand need a wheelchair scale, bariatric units need a 1,000 lb (450 kg) capacity, and maternity needs a neonatal scale. Tell us your unit and we suggest the models that fit.
Which medical scale is the most accurate?
