MX160 Portable Platform Scale with BMI

A portable platform scale for visiting nurses, weight management clinics and units that need a light scale with a high capacity. It arrives assembled: insert the levelling feet and the batteries, and it is ready to weigh.
- Capacity of 750 lb (340 kg), read to 0.1 lb (0.05 kg)
- Platform of 16 × 18 in (40.6 × 45.7 cm) with a low step-up
- MotionLock gives a stable weight even when the person moves
- Weighs 15 lb and runs on 4 D-cell batteries, about 100,000 weighings per set
A large platform that stays light

The 16 × 18 in platform sits 1¾ in off the floor and carries up to 750 lb. The whole scale weighs 15 lb.

MotionLock settles the weight even when the person moves, without help from the caregiver or the patient.

The console calculates BMI and shows weight, height and BMI together. Lock it to lb or kg so your team reads one unit.

No outlet and no charging: 4 D-cell batteries, included, give about 100,000 weighings. Two carry cases are available for travel.
Built into this scale
MotionLock
The scale settles the reading by itself, so a patient who sways or shifts still gets a weight you can record.
ECO Weigh batteries
Standard D-cell batteries last a long time between changes, so there is no cord on the floor and no outlet to find.
Hands-free weighing
A console setting lets the scale weigh without anyone pressing a button, which keeps hands off shared surfaces.
Ready for the medical record
Weights can go to your electronic record through the serial output or the optional wireless module.
Aluminum build
An aluminum frame that does not rust and stays light enough for your team to move.

Questions about the MX160
Can the MX160 be used for bariatric patients?
The MX160 weighs up to 750 lb (340 kg), read to 0.1 lb (0.05 kg). Befour does not present it as a bariatric scale. For bariatric clinics, Befour offers the MX170, a portable platform scale with a capacity of 1,000 lb (450 kg) and a platform of 24 × 20 in (61 × 50.8 cm).
How large is the MX160 platform?
The MX160 platform measures 16 × 18 in (40.6 × 45.7 cm) and stands 1¾ in (4.4 cm) high. Befour describes it as a large platform with a low step-up. Allow 1 in (2.5 cm) of space around the scale: it should not touch the wall. The display console mounts on a wall or a tabletop.
Can the MX160 be carried from one site to another?
Yes. The MX160 weighs 15 lb (6.8 kg) and runs on 4 D-cell alkaline batteries, included, so it needs no outlet. Befour lists it for visiting nurses and weight management clinics. Two carry cases are optional: a soft-sided case (SC1816) for the platform, console and cables, and a lockable hard-shell case (HC-1825).
How much does the MX160 scale cost?
The price depends on the quantity, the wireless module and the carry case. Request a quote and a representative replies within two business days.
