One scale for wheelchairs, standing and seated weights
The single ramp of the MX450 mounts on either side. The dual ramp of the MX450D lets the wheelchair roll on and off for pass-through weighing.
Fold the ramps up and the scale becomes a stand-on scale. The patient can grasp the active handrail during weighing.
The scale stays still for weighing. To move it, tilt it back and roll it on its large wheels to the next room.
The console pivots 320° for viewing. It sends the weight through USB serial output or the optional wireless module.

Questions about the MX450
How do wheelchair users get weighed?
On the MX450, the patient stays in the wheelchair and rolls up the ramp onto the 28 × 32 in (71.1 × 81.3 cm) platform. With the dual ramp of the MX450D, the patient rolls on from one side and off the other. A patient who can stand uses the scale with the ramps folded up and holds the handrail.
How is the MX450 moved between rooms?
The MX450 uses the Tilt & Roll design: tilt the scale back and roll it forward on its large wheels. It stays stationary during weighing. The scale weighs 65 lb (29.5 kg) and stands 45 in (114.3 cm) high. The MX450 sheet describes no folding platform: the ramps fold up to use it as a stand-on scale. Allow 1 in (2.5 cm) of space around it, as it should not touch the wall. For a scale that folds, see the MX480.
Can the MX450 display be turned?
Yes. The console pivots 320° for viewing. It shows weight, height and BMI on one screen, in 1 in (2.5 cm) LCD digits, with a 3-segment battery indicator. LB/KG lockout lets you display only the unit you use. The weight can go to your electronic record through the USB serial output or the optional wireless module.
