Dallas Bariatric Shower Commode Chair
A wide shower and commode chair on castors, for residents and patients up to 200 kg (440 lb) who can sit upright. It is used for a seated shower and for toileting when the toilet cannot be reached, and it rolls over a standard toilet once its stabilizer bar is opened.

A wider chair for the shower and the toilet
Rebotec rates the Dallas for 200 kg (440 lb), with 640 mm (25.2 in) between the armrests and an overall width of 740 mm (29.1 in).
Four 5 in castors carry the chair from the room to the shower. The two rear castors have a foot brake, applied before the person sits down or stands up.
Open the stabilizer bar and roll the chair over a standard toilet. Otherwise, a bucket slides in from the back, under the hygiene opening.

Swing-away armrests
Pull the locking pin and the armrest swings back, clearing the side for a transfer. It locks again when brought forward.
Footrests in 7 positions
The footplates adjust to 7 heights with a hex key. The footrests fold up or come off before the person sits down.
Hygiene opening and bucket holder
The PUR seat has a hygiene opening with a removable cushion. A bucket with lid slides into the holder from the back.
Stabilizer bar
A bar holds the frame together during transport. It opens to roll over a toilet and must be closed again before moving the person.
Parts that come off for cleaning
The seat, cushion and bucket lift out to be cleaned separately. Only the bucket goes in a washer-disinfector.

What is the difference between a bariatric commode and a regular commode?
In the same Rebotec series, the Denver and Atlanta are rated for 175 kg (385 lb), the Chicago and Dallas for 200 kg (440 lb). The Dallas is the wider of the two 200 kg models: 640 mm (25.2 in) between the armrests and 740 mm (29.1 in) overall, compared with 580 mm and 680 mm for the Chicago.
Can the seat height of the Dallas be adjusted?
No. Rebotec gives the Dallas a seat height of 560 mm (22 in). What adjusts is the footplate: 7 heights, for a knee-to-footrest distance of 380 to 560 mm (15 to 22 in). The armrest height is 780 mm (30.7 in).
Can the Dallas go over a toilet and into the shower?
Yes. Rebotec intends the Dallas for a seated shower and for toileting. To go over a standard toilet, brake the rear castors, open the stabilizer bar and roll the chair over the bowl: the clearance is 440 mm (17.3 in) high and 470 mm (18.5 in) wide. Close the bar again before moving the person. Indoor use only.
