Weight and height in one stop
Lower the foldable headpiece onto the head and press HEIGHT. The height appears at once, in inches, feet and inches, or centimetres.
Smart Position Technology keeps the slide where it was left. The headpiece turns 360 degrees, and no cable is exposed.
MotionLock settles the weight even when the person moves, without help from the caregiver or the patient.
The height rod is built into the scale, so BMI is calculated automatically. Send the results through USB serial or the optional wireless module.

How does Opti-Height work on the MX905?
Lower the foldable headpiece until it rests on top of the head, then press HEIGHT: the measurement is taken at once and displays automatically. The slide uses Smart Position Technology, so it stays where it was last left, ready for the next patient. The rod measures from 25 to 94 in (about 63 to 238 cm), to ± 0.1 in (0.2 cm), and the MX905 calculates BMI automatically.
How does the MX905 differ from the MX805?
Both are 17 lb (7.7 kg) aluminum column scales with a 750 lb (340 kg) capacity and a 16 × 18 in (40.6 × 45.7 cm) platform. The difference is the height rod. On the MX805, you press HEIGHT and raise the headpiece, from 38 to 88 in (97 to 225 cm). On the MX905, Opti-Height measures when you lower the headpiece and press HEIGHT, from 25 to 94 in (about 63 to 238 cm).
Does the MX905 need an outlet?
No. The MX905 runs on 4 D-cell alkaline batteries, included. Befour rates its ECO Weigh system at about 100,000 weighings per set, and the console has a 3-segment battery life indicator. With no cord to plug in and a weight of 17 lb (7.7 kg), the scale can be placed in any room. Allow 1 in (2.5 cm) of space around it, as it should not touch the wall.
